Gail’s Values:

Public School Advocate

Education is the foundation for a successful life. Whether it be earning your high school diploma, learning a trade, or getting your 4-year degree, the more you learn, the farther you will go! We need to do better for our kids! We do that by supporting our Public Schools and those that educate them!

Equality for All

Families

As people across Iowa work to provide for their families, we are seeing rising costs across the board. How has our state helped with these costs? We need to work on solutions to help lessen the burden on our families. Working to lower costs in healthcare, housing, childcare, elder care and concerns that go along with our aging family members, and our high cancer rates. Let’s work on what matters to Iowans.

Equality is seeing each person having the same opportunities and rights as everyone else. By allowing people to lead their best lives we are working toward that goal, but we still have much work to do. Government needs to tear down barriers, not put them up. It should not matter your gender, sexual orientation, skin color, religion, or age. Equality hurts no one.

Constituent Testimonials

It’s vital that we vote our values, so we’ll be voting for Gail Allison for HD58 this Fall. Gail is an advocate for education, social justice, voting rights, acceptance, economic opportunity and gender and racial equity. She also co-chairs the Iowa United Methodist Board of Church and Society. Her teaching experience will be valuable in Des Moines as we try to reverse the current path we are on. We especially appreciate Gail's thoughtful leadership. She seeks out new ideas and different perspectives, weighs the alternatives, considers possible outcomes and develops reasonable positions. She’s approachable and engaged, and genuinely committed to governing well. Please join us in voting for Gail Allison to represent us in HD58.

I'm excited to support Gail for Iowa House District 58. She understands that strong public schools set up our students and our state up for a stronger, more prosperous future. Who better to guide education decisions than someone who has spent her life in a classroom? It's refreshing to find a candidate who genuinely listens and cares about rural Iowans. ~Staci Schutte, New Hampton

Though I only know Gail on a personal and not a professional level, I can confidently say that Gail Allison is the perfect person for the job! She's a level headed woman that just wants to stand up for every person in our district. If you want a fiery, passionate woman to help make your voice heard, then you should vote for Gail Allison with me. ~Kaitlyn Morris, Lawler

I wholeheartedly support Gail Allison for Iowa House District 58.

Having worked alongside Gail in the schools for years, I can vouch for her character.

Leadership - Gail brings enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, optimism, collaboration, and decades of skills with managing many moving parts along with many different personalities in order to reach goals.

Intelligence - Anyone who has a conversation with Gail will notice that she is a deep thinker who is well-informed and takes time to research and understand what the issues are in our state. She listens well and is open to hearing other views.

People Skills - Gail’s genuine care for individuals shines with her smile, eye contact, and the way she listens. She has a compassionate heart, especially for those marginalized. Most importantly, she turns her caring into action to bring positive changes. Gail is skilled at working with others with clarity and kindness, but she will fight for you like a mama bear if she needs to.

Integrity - I trust Gail to do what she says she will do. She has always been someone to keep her word. In addition, I trust her with her moral convictions to represent the people of our district. She is not extreme. She is full of common sense. Gail carries herself with respect, a cool head, clarity, and conviction to keep working toward solutions.

I’m going to tell everyone I can about Gail so they know exactly the caliber of candidate we have who is willing to give her time to work for us. I invite you to join me this fall by voting for Gail Allison.
